Remembrance Day ceremonies to mark the sacrifices men and women have made for our freedoms are happening in Nanaimo and the surrounding area. Thousands of people will be on hand at the downtown Nanaimo Cenotaph on Chapel Street for a moment of silence at 11 a.m.
Street closures in the immediate area will be in effect.

Wreath presenters are to be at the Cenotaph by 10:30am. Muster in front of Legion at 146 West Hirst Avenue at 10:30am for parade to cenotaph. There is a school bus available at the branch to transport veterans to the cenotaph and back to the branch before and after the ceremony.
