Remembrance Day ceremonies to mark the sacrifices men and women have made for our freedoms are happening in Nanaimo and the surrounding area. Thousands of people will be on hand at the downtown Nanaimo Cenotaph on Chapel Street for a moment of silence at 11 a.m.
Street closures in the immediate area will be in effect.
