Earth Day Forest Walk

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting our Earth Day Forest Walk again this year. Verna Mumby, local Consulting Arborist also known as “the Tree Lady”, will be guiding attendees through the wonderful forest paths along Thames Creek in Bowser. Verna’s knowledge of the forest ecosystem is fascinating to listen to, and makes us fully appreciate this precious resource.
The walk will last approximately 60 minutes. The goal of this walk is educational, so we ask that dogs not attend. The path is well developed, but has up and down terrain. Light hikers and possibly a walking pole are recommended. We will start with a 11am walk, and if the number of registrants warrant, we’ll open a 1pm walk. RSVP to reserve your spot.
No registration fee; donations to Beaufort Watershed Stewards welcome.
