Art Bites: Alcohol Ink with Lynn Orriss

Alcohol ink is a relatively new art medium known for its intensely bright colours and fluid, interactive properties. We'll experiment with different paper and different techniques so you can get a feel for this vibrant medium and you'll take home an original piece you created.

The award winning film Aritfishal produced by by Patagonia will be shown at Knox United church in Parksville on Sunday, February 9 at 2 P.M. The film exposes risks to the future of wild salmon and the threat of extinction. It highlights the threat posed by fish farms,fish hatcheries and our loss of faith in nature. An excellent panel moderated by John Beaton will follow. Audience questions will be welcomed.

Fat Bike Fondue: Available only for the month of February, you can choose to enjoy Mount Washington’s Saturday night Snowshow Fondue events on a Fat Bike!

Oscar Night at the Eagles

The public is welcome for this fun Parksville event on Academy Awards night.

We're going to have a red carpet, predict the winners, and have fun and games while watching the Academy Awards.

Try something different this year!

The Fraternal Order of Eagles will be open at 3:30 to arrive and start the festivities. The awards start at 5pm, and there will be dinner by donation and a cash-only bar.

Entrance is at the back street of the building with the pharmacy.
