Art Bites: Alcohol Ink with Lynn Orriss
Alcohol ink is a relatively new art medium known for its intensely bright colours and fluid, interactive properties. We'll experiment with different paper and different techniques so you can get a feel for this vibrant medium and you'll take home an original piece you created.
Lynn Orriss was introduced to art at an early age in Edmonton AB through the family gallery and picture framing shop and she says a day doesn't go by where she isn't being creative. Her works have been exhibited across Canada and are included in private collections around the world.
ABOUT ART BITES: Art Bites is a 10-week course designed to give you a taste of a variety of art mediums. Each 2-hour class introduces you to a new medium and show you the basic techniques using a small array of supplies. Go home each week with a piece of your own and a sense of how this art medium works. Pick and choose one or more classes. Classes are $30 each, 4 for $100, 8 for $200 or take all 10 for $250. Register online or at the MAC office. Check out our Art Bites display in the Studio at the MAC for an example of the medium taught in each class.
