The Mid Island Surface Design Group presents ‘CONNECT THE DOT’S’, a gallery welcoming collection of strikingly colorful, patterned pieces that celebrate ‘DOT’S’.
This exhibiting group of artists uses an array of surface design processes to create work that ranges from thought provoking to fun, and is always rich with creative energy.
Opening Reception is February 9th, 2020 from 1-3 pm.

The Oceanside Breast Cancer Support Group meets the first Thursday of the month.This group is independent, non-profit, slip-on shoe support groups serving the Oceanside community for over 5 years. Hundreds of people receive help dealing with cancer from their volunteer efforts. Communicating, getting the word out and trying to reach newly diagnosed folks, their friends and families. There is no fee or requirement for these casual get togethers.

I will show you my step by step process on painting a group of ladies in long dresses. You will learn the essentials of creating simplified figures using negative painting and scraping techniques. Further interest and pattern may be created using stencils and collage.
