Then, with Sarah, Finzi’s “Eclogue”, and the premiere of a work by Richard Covey. “Esplanade: In Memory of the Seven and the Seven”, is based on the disastrous 1887 fire in Nanaimo’s Esplanade No. 1 coal mine that killed 148 men, leaving only 7 survivors and 7 never found
