Come for just the day!

Now in both garden and studio we are set for a super creative time. Our talented and patient instructor Kat Cearns will guide you through art projects, creativity boosters and games. Gain confidence and learn art skills and techniques while trying new mediums. As well as all the art there will be camp games, beach walks and popsicles.

Examples of art projects include: Comics, drawing, zines, portraits, acrylic painting, mosaics, paper mache, art boxes, rock painting, collage and more.

VIVA Canada Exhibition features the work of pastel artist, Joan Larson, who has created a series of artwork depicting her train journey across Canada. These artworks will be imbedded in a life-size VIA train image, which will stretch around the walls of the Concert Gallery. The competition begins with “pound up” on Thursday, July 9 when the sculptors build and fill their forms. Once their forms are filled and the sculptor feels they are solidly packed, they may remove their forms and begin to carve.

Gates open to the public to watch the sculptors carving starting Friday, July 10, at 2:00pm.

Judging will take place on Sunday, July 12, from 3:00-4:30pm and the winners will be announced on-site at approximately 5:00pm.
