Join us for the Traditional Plant Workshop at Qualicum Beach Community Hall! Doors open at 12:30 PM, with the workshop running from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
The event will feature presentations from three local experts: Snuneymuxw Elder Geraldine Manson, Dr. Nancy Turner, and Kim Recalma-Clutesi “Oqwilowgwa”. They will share knowledge on plant names, traditional gathering locations, harvesting tools and techniques, and the cultural, nutritional, and medicinal uses of native plants — including how they are prepared. Participants will also have the opportunity to create and sample a variety of native plant-based foods and medicines.
Admission is by donation at the door, and tickets must be reserved through Eventbrite. Space is limited — reserve your spot today!
