One of our goals at Blue Moon Acres is to bring kids together to connect with the earth, its creatures, themselves and eachother. This is at the centre of all of our programing.
For example, when we are learning about the bees, we draw parallels between the lives of the bees and what we can learn from them. We learn their importance and why we should protect their existance and how that can be done. This is all done is a fun and creative way.
Bee week is one of our favourites here at Blue Moon Acres. There is so much to learn about bees! Campers will dawn a bee suit, extract honey, make tealights and lip balm.
Each day the campers will do yoga, spend time and learn to care with all of our animals (chickens , turkeys, cows, pigs, mini goats, pigs, bunnies and ducks.
We will spend time each day with all of the animals and learn their role on our farm. We will spend the most time with our bunnies and learn more specific and fascinating details about them.
Since it is harvest season on the Farm, we will harest and sample the fruits and veggies we have on the farm, as well as learn which veggies are superfoods and the most nutritionally dense!
Arts and crafts are also incorporated into our programing in relevant and meaningful ways.
It is a challenge to list all that our camps entail. We offer a one of a kind, unforgetable experience!
