Campers will spend time amongst our cows, they will learn basic cheese making skills, bread making, fresh jam and so much more!
One of our goals at Blue Moon Acres is to bring kids together to connect with the earth, its creatures, themselves and eachother. This is at the centre of all of our programing.
For example, when we are learning about the bees, we draw parallels between the lives of the bees and what we can learn from them. We learn their importance and why we should protect their existance and how that can be done. This is all done is a fun and creative way.

Incorporating a mixed media approach, Griet’s works are a synastry of dynamic play. Poetic, moving, quirky and engaging, her works draw out concepts and challenges we engage with in real life and bring them to life in a variety of media. She also uses poetry, spoken word, and performance to enhance her material creations.

Join us at the MAC as we celebrate the history of one of Parksville's most beloved summer events!

Kitefest is sponsored by the Parksville Lions Society and the BC Kitefliers Association, and was launched in July 2006 taking place during the community's Beachfest events during the summer months. KITEFEST is a non-competitive kite festival and takes place in the perfect setting at the Parksville Community Park. A textile artist, Boerky’s inspiration and creativity comes from the natural beauty that surrounds her and her love of play. She randomly chooses elements from printed cottons and designs her compositions. Her technique involves a meticulous cutting, fusing, machine stitching textile processes. 

An all season collection of miniature landscape scenes. These are derived representations from all four provinces Boerky has lived in.

Sue Clark developed an artistic stitching technique that uses fabric and thread on stretched canvas to produce dynamic Embroidered Fabric Artworks.

Using fabric and thread as a medium much in the same way she had previously used oil paint. Broad strokes of intricately shaped pieces of hand-cut fabric are layered upon a stretched canvas.
