Solstice Evening Open Golden Shrine Event

On this auspicious and powerful day of the Solstice experience the beauty of the night at the Golden Shrine Mahaguru Temple within the Kathok Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Centre. All are welcome to take part in the wonders of candlelight, meditation and silence. You may choose to walk mindfully in the garden, turn the prayer wheels to release positive energies, sit in meditation in the Shrine, light a Butterlamp, write a wish in the Heart wishing garden and peruse the gift shop for that meaningful holiday gift. The winter solstice is an energetic day in the entire buddhist heritage, so try to light a lamp on this day for blessings and to take part in a respected tradition. This is a time when all actions, positive and negative are multiplied millions of times. Your prayers and intentions for the coming year are especially evocative. Please make a monetary offering to support the Centre so that it will continue to be available to all. As always, please respect all rules during your visit and pay attention to the notice signs. The areas around the Golden Shrine Mahaguru Temple, butter lamp pavilion and shop are the places open to the public.
