Get ready to dance your socks off to The Snake Island Railroad! These guys play a mix of classic rock, alt-country, roots, blues, gospel and good ol’ rock & roll.

Gary Holmes, our lead singer and rhythm guitar, has performed in many commercial venues throughout Canada and the USA including a number of appearances with ‘Roots On The Rails’..
Erik Johnson, our lead guitar, spent 17+ years in Nashville where he wrote and co-wrote a number of successful songs (for example he co-wrote ‘Comeback Trail’ with Wayne Carson who wrote such songs as ‘The Letter’ and ‘You Were Always On My Mind’). Erik wrote the ‘That River’ which was the title song for Jim Byrnes Juno award winning album. Erik has also appeared as a headliner at the ‘Bluebird Cafe’ in Nashville and he was a recording artist with Bookshop BMG. More recently he co-wrote the title song ‘Vicksburg Call’ with David Gogo on David’s last album nominated for a Juno.
