I teach a style of Hatha yoga that develops strength, endurance, and optimal body alignment, in addition to flexibility and relaxation. Uniquely Hawaiian, hula is the telling of stories through dance and song. Hula helps to ease tension and stress. Many Hawaiian songs are about nature; the waves, wind, flowers, rain, mountains, etc. Visualizing and interpreting the words with movement can mentally transport you to, and connect you with nature. Hula is a mind-body-spirit experience.
Group classes for women’s hula will be held at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre in the OAP Room. This is an open level class where the pace is set by the students. Class size is limited to 10 participants. Newcomers welcome!

Zumba is an exercise fitness program, involved dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. Squats and lunges are also included.
Our Zumba Dance Fitness Class is for everyone (except kids) who is interested in moving their body and getting in shape.
We have a class every Wednesday at 12:30 at Luxe Studio’s(#4 – 2330 McCullough Road).
