Multi-talented trumpeter and composer Jonathan Bauer, most notably of the Grammy award-winning New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, burst onto the scene with his highly anticipated debut album, Walk Don’t Run. An internationally recognized and touring artist, Jonathan is widely acclaimed for his dark and dynamic sound. While earning his Master’s at the University of New Orleans, Jonathan quickly became a rising talent in one of the world’s most important musical communities, earning him the opportunity to study and perform with living legends Nicholas Payton, Robert Glasper, Jeremy Davenport, Adonis Rose and Ashlin Parker among others. A versatile musician, Jonathan regularly crosses genres performing with R&B titans, such as Sheila E., Ledisi, and Eric Benét.

Born and raised in Northern Alberta, Canada Jonathan is proud to be an ambassador for Divitt Trumpets.

Gerald Watkins, Jr.

Gerald Watkins Jr is a drummer/percussionist originally from Norfolk, Va and is now residing in New Orleans, LA. He has degrees in music from both Norfolk State University (B.S) and Florida State University (M.M). He performs locally with many of the areas finest musicians and also tours abroad. He has performed with members of Marsalis family (Ellis, Delfeayo, and Jason), Dee Dee Bridgewater, Eric Benét, Ledisi and many others. Aside from performing, Gerald loves to teach and mentor many of New Orleans young creative minds.

Alex Dyring

Alex Dyring is an active freelance multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and educator based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Best known as a doubling upright & electric bassist, Dyring has found success using the influences of his cultural and musical upbringing to create a rhythmically-driven and melodically-supportive approach that maintains a strong basis in the common ancestry of the traditions of jazz and Afro-Caribbean music.

Alex has performed as a bandleader and sideman throughout North America, Europe, and Latin America—sharing stages with the likes of Victor Wooten, Robin Eubanks, Victor Mendoza and has been billed alongside hip-hop legends such as Slum Village, Warren G, Salt n’ Pepa and members of the Pharcyde.

Ryan Hanseler

Born in Boston MA, Ryan Hanseler has performed with many artist including The Branford Marsalis Quartet, Herlin Riley, Rene Marie, Nnenna Freelon, Philip Harper and many more. A resident of New Orleans, Ryan is the pianist for Delfeayo Marsalis’s Uptown Jazz Orchestra and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra’s NOJO 7, under the direction of drummer Adonis Rose. A first call pianist in New Orleans, Ryan performs with many other notable artist in the area including Nicholas Payton, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Roger Lewis of The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and more. Mr. Hanseler is the former head of Jazz Piano Studies for East Carolina University and holds a Masters Degree in Jazz Composition and Arranging from North Carolina Central University where he studied with Pianist Joey Calderazzo
