Come out and enjoy the band that is the reason GroundZero Acoustic Lounge exists!
Groundswell is a “coming together” of seasoned musicians who have all played in several bands over the years. Together they feel that they have found the right combination; from their first practice together they have felt a synergy that has continued to grow and thrive. The members of this group have been involved in various musical projects over the years, playing a variety of music, from cover songs to original compositions. With a nice mix of female and male vocal talents, Groundswell can tackle a wide variety of genres, and are able to adapt their song selection to fit the needs of any performance. They can play a tender ballad, a familiar old rocking’ dance tune, or something more modern. They refuse to categorize themselves as a band that plays only a certain type of music. Their members are based in and around the Oceanside area, except for keyboardist Adrian Proctor who resides in the Cowichan Valley.
They are also the reason that GroundZero exists! The initial plan was to create a dedicated practice space for this band, and things grew from there into the wonderful multi-use musical venue that GZAL is today…
