The Dave Stewart Septet presents Chick Corea Tribute
The Dave Stewart Septet is an ensemble of outstanding in-demand local musicians from Central Vancouver Island: Claudio Fantinato, Dan Craven, Jeff Agopsowicz, Chad Geekie, Rob Uffen and Wayne Finucan.
Prolific for six decades now, Chick Corea has been and continues to be one of the most influential musicians in the jazz world. As a member of the Miles Davis group in the late 1960s, he helped pioneer the Jazz Fusion style. He has been described as 'one of the major jazz piano voices to emerge in the post-John Coltrane era". In this programme, the Dave Stewart Septet will feature arrangements by the group trombonist Jeff Agosowicz.
