Brodie Lee Dawson & Luke Blu Guthrie

You know the names, and you may have heard them individually, but singer-songwriters Luke Blu Guthrie and Brodie Lee Dawson have joined forces this year. The dynamic duo will wrap up their season close to home with 7pm house concerts at Two Eagles Lodge Bed & Breakfast in Union Bay. The first night has sold out, so a second concert on Saturday, November 24 has been added.
Dawson has been touring for the past couple of years with her band She Could Be Trouble who were nominated twice for ‘Group of the Year’ at the Vancouver Island Music Awards and the BCCMA’s. Dawson took home ‘Vocalist of the Year’ at the 2014 Vancouver Island Music Awards and was nominated for Best Live Act at both 2014 and 2103 VIMA’s.
Her songs are laced with truth and humour and so much soul; they speak to your core. She is real and raw, and charming and silly.
Guthrie is a seasoned performer and well-loved on Vancouver Island and beyond. At a time when so many young musicians struggle to find an authentic representation of self in their music, the charismatic Guthrie is a “beacon of originality.”
Deeply soulful, and passionately committed to creating and sharing his music, Guthrie has devoted much of his life to his craft. Often armed with only an acoustic guitar, Guthrie has been an integral part of the Vancouver Island music scene for over a decade. He is widely respected for his versatility and skill as songwriter, vocalist and guitar player.
Andrea Rose and Jesse Hampton will open the evening—bringing a musical experience “to nourish the soul with feel-good acoustic folk tunes.
The intimate setting at Two Eagle Lodge Bed & Breakfast allows up to 55 guests to get “up close and personal” with artists.

$2 of each guest’s reservation will be donated to the Comox Valley SPCA. There will be a collection box for donations to the Comox Valley Food Bank, as well.
Two Eagles Lodge is an award-winning, waterfront B&B that was built for purpose and opened by Steve and Carolyn Touhey in 2007. Located at 6409 Island Highway South, the B&B/venue is just north of the Buckley Bay ferry terminal.
Two Eagles Lodge was the original accommodations sponsor associated with Vancouver Island Music Business Conference, which it has supported since 2008, and also sponsor of the 2012 Vancouver Island Music Awards.
