Life as a Realtor - Goals and Achievements

My goal is through patience, understanding and hard work, to build long term relationships with clients. I want people to know that I am honest and trustworthy, and I will always put their best interests first.

During 2006, I was involved in over 50 Real Estate transactions. I sold over 7 million dollars worth of Real Estate between South Nanaimo and North Qualicum. This hard work paid off when I earned the Diamond Award. I enjoy getting the job done!

Background

My days living on Vancouver Island started back in 1975, when I was a young teenager. My family moved to the Parksville area from Vancouver. Moving from the big city and all the modern conveniences to the streets of Errington, where there was a General Store and one gas pump ... what a culture shock!! At school in downtown Coombs, I sat in an old wooden desk that still had a hole in it where an ink jar used to sit. For us kids, the farthest we could travel was as far as we could pedal our bicycles. In the summertime, we often went to Englishman River Falls and other spots that soon became our favourites in our explorations.

The new high school was built and would be ready just in time for "ME". The day Parksville's Ballenas Secondary School opened its doors for the first time was the day I began four great years of school there. Lots of adventures! Lots of stories! And lots of fun!!

After working throughout my teen years at the "Bubbling Fireside Motel and Restaurant" in Parksville, I thought it only natural to pursue this career further. After graduation, I studied Hotel Restaurant Management at Nanaimo's Malaspina University College. The hospitality industry was very good to me for 22 years. I had the opportunity to work at some fine establishments with some fine individuals. I also learned about the importance of customer service and good management in building a successful business.

Life as a Realtor

From here, it seemed like a natural progression to study real estate sales when the opportunity arose. It made sense … to work with and negotiate for people in the utterly important process of selling or buying real estate. Furthermore, to do this in an area that I know well and love … PERFECT!
