Carole Reid’s show is about home, going home, leaving home, “Home Sweet Home”.
She is looking at what home means to her here on earth and in the future and the afterlife.
She is hoping it will stir conversation between the viewer and herself regarding our home life experiences and future dreams or expectations.
The work has been created on paper, card and canvas.
There will be an opportunity for everyone to add their drawing of “Home” to one of the pieces on display.

Heritage: The Tie That Binds
Heritage reaches back in time to tell stories of our near and distant pasts, to describe our present and to foretell our future.
These stories are the threads that interweave memory, culture, place, and practice. As we listen and learn, gaining knowledge from elders and experiences, richer stories are told and cultures are described. A complex, interconnected world is revealed, as people and place are woven into a detailed tapestry of history and heritage.

A sense of home.

This group of paintings is inspired by the setting that means the most to me: home. I live where the farmland meets the forest and the salmon streams meet the mighty Englishman River. Evidence of the giant old growth forest still exists in this area, where settlers long ago recogniz...more info
